Universal Studios Celebrates 100 Years

2012 sees the 100th anniversary of Universal Studios, which will be celebrated with an exciting and extensive campaign that will take place throughout the year.

Universal Hollywood is one of the oldest film studios to still be in operation, and also the first to open its doors to tourists. It became famous for its classic monster films such as “Frankenstein,” “Dracula,” “The Mummy” and “The Invisible Man”, as well as blockbusters like “Jaws,” “E.T.” and the “Back to the Future” films.

The Studio’s president, Ron Meyer, revealed that the Universal Studios logos will be redesigned, both audio-visual and print, and will be unveiled early in 2012. The campaign will also involve the restoration of some of Universal’s classic movies as well as theme park activities and promotions, special events and fun social media outreaches, details of which are due to be revealed in January.

This campaign is designed to introduce Universal’s extensive collection of films to a new audience, as well as reliving precious movie memories with long-time fans.

Universal Studios Hollywood Theme Park in California will also be highlighting the centennial year with special celebrations in itsStudio Tour.

Be part of the celebrations and book your tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood.
