Looking for things to fill the space between over-eating turkey and the Queen’s speech? The Christmas spectaculars at many attractions are in full swing, and you’ve got a couple of weekends to get yourself around them and feel festive in a whole new way!
Starting at Warwick Castle where Christmas At The Castle is in full flow! The Castle will be decked out in fabulous festive decorations, and features an enormous 20-foot high Christmas tree, taking pride of place in the Grand Hall. The Castle is hosting Stories With Santa, running on selected dates in December, where Santa himself will entertain the children with a 20-minute epic tale. It’ll help prepare the little ones for the big day and keep them super excited! On top of this there is A Winter Wedding, where you will join forces with Guy of Warwick, solving the riddle of the Christmas Tree and reuniting him with Princess Felice – preferably in time for their wedding!
There’s also the Winter Birds of Prey Show, which shows off the power of vultures, owls and many more in a show that promises to be a hoot! And also available for booking, at an additional cost, is Santa’s Stately Breakfast, where families will enjoy a unique feast in the lavish State Dining Room. Plus, for children who have been extra-nice this year, they can enjoy a Santa Sleepover, which includes an overnight stay at the Knight’s Village, or a luxurious Tower Suite, along with an Elf-tastic wake-up!
Once Santa is done reading to children at Warwick Castle he’s hot-footing it down to Madame Tussauds where he’ll be taking selfies with everyone! Grab yourself the perfect festive picture with the big man himself, alongside all your favourite celebrities from sport to screen and everything in between.
For the even younger children, head along to Mooky Doolittle at the Blackpool Tower Circus, which runs right through until 21 January. This kid-friendly animalfest panto is set to be one of the biggest sellers in Blackpool this year, so get your tickets for this a-moosing performance.
Or for more animal magic, get to SEA LIFE London where you can meet their eight brand new Gentoo penguins and waddle into the festive season with them. With floor-to-ceiling windows and special pop-up viewing domes, guests can get up close and personal to the Antarctic birds!
You won’t be disappointed with these fabulous festive fascinations, with plenty of Christmas crackers to get stuck in to! Plan your parties today and get ready for magnificent merriment!
