A sightseeing trip to London just isn’t complete without a visit to the world-famous St Paul’s Cathedral!
The perfect addition to a day or weekend in London, St. Paul’s is easy to get to, sitting on the north bank of the River Thames.
Its unmistakable dome is an iconic feature of the London skyline, and is one of the largest Cathedral domes in the world. Don’t miss the fabulous views of London from the Golden Gallery on top of the dome!
Anyone who loved the childhood film Mary Poppins will definitely want to see the location of the “Feed the Birds” scenes, where the Bird Woman sings to passers-by as she sells bags of breadcrumbs to feed the throngs of pigeons on the cathedral steps.
Explore at your own pace with a multimedia guide included in your ticket, or join in one of the many guided tours that take place every day.
Inside the cathedral, must-see areas include the Whispering, Stone and Golden Galleries, as well as the cathedral floor, the glittering mosaics, intricate stone carvings and breathtaking vantage points.
Don’t forget to visit the crypt, where many famous Brits are buried including Admiral Nelson and the Duke of Wellington.
St. Paul’s Churchyard, London EC4M 8AD. The cathedral sits at the top of Ludgate Hill, the highest point in the City of London.
Dedicated wheelchair access is available via the South Churchyard. Fully accessible between the cathedral floor and crypt for wheelchairs, but the Gallery is via stairs only.
