After being collected from your resort, you’ll head to the south of the island, travelling through the village of Uga, for a camel ride in the spectacular Fire Mountains.
Your journey continues through volcanic terrain to Timanfaya National Park, from where you’ll head to the Lava Coast.
Drink in the panoramic views from this wonderful spot, from where you can see the El Janubio salt mines and picturesque coastline of Los Hervideros.
Enjoy a tasty lunch in Yaiza, a lovely town which has won awards both for integration into its surroundings and for its beauty.
Following lunch, you’ll head to the most important wine producing area in Lanzarote, La Geria, where you can indulge in a wine-tasting session at a typical vineyard and winery.
Back on the road, you’ll head north through the former capital of Lanzarote, Teguise, continuing on through Los Valles and Haría with its superb views of the Valley of a Thousand Palm Trees.
Next, you’ll visit Los Jameos del Agua, a series of connecting caves and underground grottoes of stunning natural beauty, adapted for viewing by the artist César Manrique.
You’ll begin the return journey to your resort, travelling through the Guatiza cacti plantations which were grown to attract cochineal beetles once used as a natural dye.
